Quick Start: Generate Your First AI Post

1 min read

This quick start guide walks you through generating your first AI-powered post with Aimogen. It assumes the plugin is already installed, activated, and that at least one AI provider is connected. No advanced configuration is required.

The goal here is to get a result on screen as fast as possible, so you can confirm everything is working end to end.

Step 1: Open the Single AI Post Creator #

In your WordPress admin dashboard, go to Aimogen → Single AI Post Creator.

This tool is designed for fast, one-off content generation and uses your default provider and model unless you override them.

Step 2: Enter a Post Title #

In the Post Title field, enter a simple, descriptive title.
For example:
“How to choose the best WordPress hosting for small businesses”

The title is the primary input the AI uses to understand what the post should be about.

Step 3: (Optional) Add Custom Instructions #

If you want to influence the result, you can add instructions such as:

  • Tone (professional, casual, technical)
  • Length (short guide, long-form article)
  • Structure (headings, lists, FAQ section)
  • Audience (beginners, developers, business owners)

If you leave this field empty, Aimogen uses its default prompt logic.

Step 4: Choose Post Settings #

Before generating, review these options:

  • Post Status: draft, publish, pending, or private
  • Post Type: post, page, or a custom post type
  • Categories & Tags: auto-generate or leave empty
  • Featured Image: generate automatically or skip

You can leave everything at default for your first test.

Step 5: Generate the Post #

Click Generate Post.

Aimogen now:

  • Builds the execution context
  • Sends the request to the AI provider
  • Processes the response
  • Formats the content
  • Creates the WordPress post

Depending on the model and server speed, this usually takes a few seconds.

Step 6: Review the Result #

Once generation finishes, you are redirected to the newly created post.

Review:

  • Content structure
  • Tone and relevance
  • Headings and formatting
  • Any images that were generated

The post behaves like any normal WordPress post and can be edited manually or with the AI Content Editor.

If Something Goes Wrong #

If the post is not created or content is missing:

  • Check Aimogen → Logs for errors
  • Verify your AI provider is active
  • Confirm your API key has available quota
  • Make sure your server meets recommended requirements

Most first-time issues are related to API connectivity or server limits.

What to Try Next #

After generating your first post, you can:

  • Edit it using the AI Content Editor
  • Generate multiple posts with the Bulk Creator
  • Import titles via CSV
  • Turn a YouTube video into a post
  • Set up automated generation
  • Add a chatbot to your site

Generating your first AI post confirms that Aimogen, your server, and your AI provider are all working together correctly. From here, everything else builds on the same foundation.
