This page documents the officially supported WordPress and PHP versions for Aimogen. Staying within these versions is critical for stability, performance, and predictable AI behavior. Running Aimogen outside the supported range may work temporarily, but it is not tested and not supported.
PHP Version Support #
Aimogen requires PHP 7.4.
PHP 7.4 is the minimum and target runtime version for Aimogen. All core features, automation pipelines, background jobs, and API integrations are developed and tested against this version.
Running older PHP versions can cause fatal errors, missing language features, or silent failures. Running newer PHP versions may work, but is not guaranteed unless explicitly stated in the release notes.
For production sites, PHP 7.4 is the baseline.
WordPress Version Support #
Aimogen requires WordPress 5.0 or newer.
WordPress 5.0 introduced the modern editor, REST improvements, and scheduling behavior that Aimogen relies on. Earlier WordPress versions are not compatible.
Aimogen is designed to work with the Block Editor and WordPress’ modern hook system. While it may function on later versions of WordPress, compatibility is guaranteed starting from 5.0.
Recommended Environment #
For best results, use:
PHP 7.4
WordPress 5.0 or higher
A hosting environment that supports reliable cron execution and outbound HTTPS requests
This combination ensures that automation, chatbots, background jobs, and AI integrations behave consistently.
Important Notes #
If your hosting provider has already deprecated PHP 7.4, do not upgrade PHP blindly. Always test Aimogen on staging before changing runtime versions.
If you experience unexplained issues while running unsupported PHP or WordPress versions, the first troubleshooting step should always be aligning your environment with the supported versions listed above.
